Naturopathy in Skincare

What is Naturopathic Skincare?
|
Naturopathic skincare is a natural approach to health and wellness where the products recognise the whole person rather than just a part of them. We call that a 'holistic' solution.
The TNS approach to naturopathy in beauty and skincare is that we work with the healing power of plant-active ingredients to promote healthier and better looking skin, hair and bodies, so the plant-actives add a specific treatment benefit to the whole person. As the products target the maintenance of personal wellbeing as well as treating skin and hair conditions, this stimulates and supports the healing capacity of each individual.
Our products recognise the holistic integrity of each person, and in naturopathic skincare and haircare we don't differentiate between skin types or ethnicity - as each person's body will take only what it needs from the product. Our products therefore work to supplement each individual's needs and are effective for even the most sensitive skin types.
Different systems of skincare regimes work in different ways. Conventional chemically-based skincare products work by suppressing the symptoms without dealing with the cause of a skin or hair problem. For example, when a person has cracked dry skin on the hands and feet, conventional skincare products use a silicone-based emollient for the skin or even a chemical anti-inflammatory to stop the inflammation. If someone has acne instead, they will use a chemical drying and antifungal agent to kill the bacteria in the pimples.
Symptoms are the body's reaction to the cause of a health problem and simply stopping the symptoms does not make the disease go away, it just hides its presence.
Naturopathic solutions promote natural recovery by removing the body’s response to the original cause of the problem, and thereby removing the very need for the body to develop symptoms. Naturopathic remedies are made from natural substances and processed in a way that makes them both very powerful and highly unlikely to cause any unwanted side effects.
Naturopathy is now highly regarded and respected as an effective, safe and non-interfering solution for human well-being and is extensively taught at medical institutions around the world. Australia is presently regarded as a leader in this field, with more practicing naturopaths per head of population than anywhere else on Earth.
